There are many Baby Strollers out in the baby market today. The features on some of these strollers seem endless, and the price varies from 15 dollars to 1500+ dollars. So how do you know which stroller is right for your baby? I think that the best way to know which carriage to purchase should be based off your lifestyle. Which of these strollers' features benefit you, and your family's lifestyle? For Example, if you live a fast paced-on the go type of lifestyle then maybe you would be willing to substitute style and versatility, for lightweight stroller that's easy to lift in and out of the car in minimal time. The prams on the market today, include - The Lightweight Stroller, The Standard Stroller, The Travel System Stroller, The Multiple Stroller, and The Active Stroller. Below is the description of each style to help you determine which stroller(s) is right for you and your baby.
Lightweight Stroller:
Lightweight Strollers have come a long way since the umbrella stroller. Although, the umbrella strollers are still available, many newer lightweight strollers have many features of the larger carriages. Some of these lightweight prams may not be as stylish, but they cost less, weigh less, and take up less space in the trunk.
Standard Stroller:
Standard Strollers are larger and heavier than lightweight strollers, but are more versatile and have more storage. They also include other features like, larger comfortable seating and wheels, built in toys, comfort grip handles, etc. These strollers take up more trunk space, but have the extra benefits that a regular lightweight may not offer.
Travel System Stroller:
Travel System Strollers are popular among parents. These carriages have all the features that the standard has plus more. This is a Standard Stroller, as well as a car seat, and baby carrier. It can be used from newborn up to 50 lbs. These Travel Systems are more expensive but are more cost efficient. The Travel System carriages are big, bulky, and take up a lot of trunk space, but most parents think that the pros of its multi-function ability may out weigh the cons.
Multiple Stroller:
Multiple Strollers are designed for more than one baby. They have duo, trio, and quads available in the baby industry. Multiple Prams are generally harder to find in local stores, but can be ordered through most major stores or can be purchased through online retailers. These carriages come in all different sizes, styles, and the price range varies. Most of them are heavy due to the convenience of it occupying more than one child at a time. That doesn't seem to play a role with customer reviews because when you're shopping or traveling with more than one baby- Multiple Strollers are necessary.
Active Strollers:
Active Strollers, also known as, Jogging strollers are common among younger active parents. These Jogger Prams are designed to handle fast speeds with quick turns. They have a lightweight frame and allow rimmed wheels, and include a unique rear breaking system to insure safety. Most of the Jogging Strollers today are equipped with trip odometers to calculate speed and distance and have iPod, or mp3 hook ups so parents can listen to their music and baby safely, at the same time.
